Security problems are cheapest to fix before someone else finds them. We review your application, infrastructure, and cloud configuration for weaknesses, then explain what we found in plain language. You receive a written report with vulnerabilities ranked by severity and exploitability, and a prioritized remediation plan your team can act on.
What We Review
Authentication & Access Control
Who can get in, and what they can do once inside. We check:
Login, password reset, and multi-factor flows;
Session handling and token expiry;
Roles and permissions, including privilege escalation paths.
What you receive: a list of access gaps with a recommended fix for each, ranked by risk.
Application Code
The vulnerabilities attackers look for first. We check:
Injection, XSS, and CSRF;
Input validation and output encoding;
Insecure handling of files, uploads, and user data.
What you receive: each issue with its location in the code, a severity rating, and a recommended fix your developers can apply.
Third-Party Dependencies
Most applications are mostly other people's code. We check:
Libraries and packages with known vulnerabilities;
Outdated or abandoned dependencies;
Third-party integrations and the data they can access.
What you receive: a dependency report with safe upgrade paths and the packages to replace.
Infrastructure & Cloud
Misconfigured servers and cloud accounts are a common way in. We check:
Network exposure, open ports, and firewall rules;
Storage buckets and database access;
Cloud account permissions and admin access.
What you receive: a configuration review with risky settings flagged and the recommended configuration for each.
Secrets Management
Leaked keys give attackers a shortcut. We check:
API keys, passwords, and tokens in code or repositories;
How secrets are stored, shared, and rotated;
Who has access to production credentials.
What you receive: a list of exposed or weakly stored secrets and a plan to rotate and secure them.
Data Protection & Logging
Protecting sensitive data and knowing who touched it. We check:
Encryption in transit and at rest;
Backups, retention, and recovery;
Audit logs that show who did what, and when.
What you receive: gaps in data protection and logging, with the controls to add first.
How WeWork
A transparent, predictable process from first contact to ongoing support
Roadmap
01 – Discovery
We start by listening. Please call us, send an email, or book a video call. We’d like to hear about the project you want to build or the problem you would like to solve, what you’ve tried so far, and any deadlines or budget constraints. If we need to look at your existing project before recommending a direction, we’ll discuss that next step with you.
Initial call to discuss your goals and constraints
Review of existing systems or requirements
02 – NDA
An NDA is a document designed to protect your ideas, business plans, and any other sensitive information you can’t discuss with everyone.
While the NDA is listed as the second step in this workflow, it can be signed at any point, even before the discovery call. It doesn’t cost you anything, so please feel free to ask for it whenever necessary.
03 – Proposal
After evaluating your requirements, we send you a proposal. Normally, that’s a Master Service Agreement (MSA) plus a Scope of Work (SoW).
The MSA sets out the general terms of how we work together. Each Statement of Work (SoW) then defines the scope, responsibilities, timeline, and pricing for a specific engagement.
The SoW is where we define the project, timeline, budget, acceptance criteria, and everything else not covered by the MSA.
If you decide to give us more work (and why not, we’re quite good at IT), we don’t sign another MSA. We simply sign a new SoW under the same MSA.
04 – Engagement
Once agreed, we get to work.
The SoW sets out what we’ll deliver, the timeline, and our responsibilities. We’ll keep you updated as the work progresses and discuss any issues that could affect delivery.
05 – Delivery
We deliver the work defined in the Statement of Work (SoW) and review it with you against the agreed acceptance criteria. Depending on the engagement, this may include deploying software, handing over code and documentation, or presenting findings and recommendations.
Software Development projects: full code ownership, no licensing or royalties. 30 days of code warranty included.
06 – Support
Support is optional and mainly applies to software development projects rather than advisory engagements.
If you need help after launch or ongoing software maintenance, we can discuss retainer options. You decide whether you’d like us to stay involved after delivery.
Ongoing maintenance and bug fixes as needed
Flexible support agreements, no long-term lock-in
Direct line back to the team that built it
